New Year's Eve Readings

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Thanks to readers for a great 2009;

Let's do big things in 2010!

* Managing risk and maximizing trading opportunity;

* Managing the psychological risks of trading;

* Could a flight from bonds spark a stock market boom?

* Nice results from the stock screening machine;

* What municipalities need to do to cut expenses;

* The challenge of an asymmetrical recovery in Europe;

* Wooing companies from India in search of jobs;

* Good 2009 wrap-up readings;

* More protectionism on the way?

Hi Brett, I wanted to share a bit of food for thought for those who are thinking about trading, or learning to trade and think of trading as being something too risky.

With volatility through the roof, 2009 was a rocky year for the style of trading I do (non-directional strategies selling options), but nevertheless, offered a lot of growth and learning opportunities.

The key for me to survive was to manage my risks, since mid-08 I decided to trade small, figure out what I needed to learn, find mentors, but above all, Keep on Trading!

Cheers and Happy New Year!
